İnönü’s last Council of Ministers

On 4 January 1964, İsmet İnönü’s 10th and last Council of Ministers (“cabinet”) received 225 votes of confidence against 175. The cabinet included three independent deputies.

The 28th Government of the Turkish Republic consisted of the following members: Prime Minister İsmet İnönü, Minister of State and Deputy Prime Minister Kemal Satır, Minister of State İbrahim Saffet Omay, Minister of State Malik Yolaç, Minister of State Vefik Pirinççioğlu, Minister of State Nüvit Yetkin, Minister of Justice Mehmet Sedat Çumral? (later replaced by S?rr? Atalay), Minister of National Defense İlhami Sancar, Minister of the Interior Orhan Öztrak, Minister of Foreign Affairs Feridun Cemal Erkin, Minister of Finance Ferit Melen, Minister of National Education ?brahim Öktem, Minister of Public Works Arif Hikmet Onat, Minister of Commerce Fenni ?slimyeli, Minister of Public Health and Welfare Kemal Demir, Minister of Customs and Monopolies Mehmet Yüceler, Minister of Agriculture Mehmet Turan ?ahin, Minister of Transportation Abdurrahman Ferit Alpiskender (later replaced by Mahmut Vural), Minister of Labor Bülent Ecevit, Minister of Industry Muammer Erten, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Arif Hüdai Oral, Minister of Tourism Ali ?hsan Gö?ü?, Minister of Development and Housing Celalettin Uzer (later replaced by Cafer Sadık Kutlay), and Minister of Village Affairs Lebit Yurdo?lu.

The term of the cabinet ended on February 20, 1965 when the budgetary proposal submitted to the National Assembly was rejected; it was replaced by the coalition government Suat Hayri Ürgüplü formed.
